The recent sale of a 41,616 SQ FT of buildings on a 42,000 SQ FT lot on Northwest 2nd Ave, between 26th Street and 27th Street in the Wynwood neighborhood in Miami is causing some optimism that finally the neighborhood is going to get some green space.
Wynwood Park will feature an acre of retail and about an acre of open park space. It will be located next to Wynwood Walls at Northwest 2nd Ave. Wynwood Park will be designed by the Wynwood architecture studio of MKDA, a New York City based design firm and it’s leasing will be handled by Metro 1 Commercial and Whitehall Realty Group.
Wynwood Park was created to fill the demand of the millennial consumer and the renaissance of the urban retail experience. This is not a mall, this will be an open air retail experience under tree canopy, in one of the country’s most creative neighborhood, Wynwood.
“When people visit Wynwood, they are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of typical Miami life,” stated Tony Cho, Founder and CEO of Metro 1 Properties. “Wynwood Park is going to offer an alternative experience, where visitors can shop at their leisure and enjoy the beautiful Miami weather in a scenic and green open space. This project is truly first of it’s kind in the area.”.
