The Dogs and Cats Walkway and Sculpture Gardens | Opens February 11,2023
Located at Maurice A, Ferré Park, in Downtown Miami, this outdoor art installation is a free and permanent exhibit featuring 52 oversized aluminum sculptures of 26 dogs and 26 cats painted by local artists, and intended to portray the special role pets play in our lives. The Dogs and Cats Walkway and Sculpture Gardens features an interactive/educational component.
QR codes will be mounted by every sculpture so visitors can scan each piece to learn more about each animal’s breed with a short video introducing the artist and the inspiration behind every design. This breakthrough exhibit is not only intended to educate children and adults about the various breeds of dogs and cats, but also seeks to raise awareness about animal respect and protection.
The Coconut Grove Festival | February 18 – 20, 2023
Coconut Grove comes alive with music, food, and art for the three-day Coconut Grove Arts Festival. This family-friendly outdoor event is a great way to spend Presidents’ Day Weekend. Peep work from over 280 national and international artists while you stuff your face with local bites. In 2023, the 59th-annual festival introduces dozens of live art activations to watch and participate in.
Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show |February 15 – 19, 2023
The Miami International Boat Show and the Miami Yacht Show have joined forces to create the Discover Boating Miami International Boat Show, the largest boat and yacht event in the world. Life is better on a boat. Discover everything from kayaks to superyachts to the latest aquatic innovations. The show will take place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, Pride Park, Herald Plaza, Venetian Marina, Museum Park Marina, and Superyacht Miami at Yacht Haven Grande Miami. Leandro Erlich: Liminal at Perez Art Museum Miami | February 16 – September 4, 2023
Pérez Art Museum Miami in Downtown Miami presents an immersive exhibition featuring iconic artworks by Leandro Erlich in the Argentine artist’s first monographic survey show in North America. The 16 works in Leandro Erlich: Liminal have been selected and arranged by New York-based guest curator Dan Cameron to offer an underlying narrative on the act of perception and its possibilities, and to create a conversation between the audience and the art itself. Visitors will be able to interact with some of Erlich’s most widely known artworks and installations, including Swimming Pool.
Art Wynwood |February 17 – 19, 2023
Art Wynwood, Miami’s premier winter art fair, produced by Art Miami, is returning for its 10th edition Presidents Day Weekend. The fair will kick-off the holiday weekend with an exclusive VIP Preview on Thursday, February 16 benefiting The Bass Museum before opening to the public Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19 at One Herald Plaza. Art Wynwood 2023 will take place at the Art Miami and CONTEXT Art Miami site on Biscayne Bay: One of the most prestigious and well known waterfront locations in the City of Miami. Miami Concours in The Miami Design District | Sunday, February 19, 2023
This weekend don’t miss the sixth annual Miami Concours, taking place throughout the Miami Design District. This year’s event celebrates the 60th anniversary of Lamborghini. Concours preview on select cars throughout the District on Friday and Saturday: 11AM – 8PM.
South Beach Wine and Food Festival | February 23 – 26, 2023
Celebrity chefs (hundreds of them) and hungry people from around the U.S. descend on South Beach and across the city for Miami’s largest and most famous annual food festival, proceeds from which benefit Florida International University Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management school.
For its 22nd year, SOBEWFF offers even more big-ticket events, including another rendition of the uber-popular Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives LIVE! hosted by Guy Fieri, plus additional intimate dinners hosted by culinary luminaries. There will be burger battles, ice cream socials, steak, and wine pairings, tiki competitions, and more food and drinks than you’ll know what to do with.
