Miami Film Festival | March 4 – 13,2023

This year it’s celebrating its 39th anniversary. They are theater options offered at MDC’s Tower Theater, Silverspot Cinema, at the Adrienne Arsht Center. Over 120 movies from over 35 nations will be available to view.

Yayoi Kusama Love is calling | March 9 ,2023

This is the largest and the most immersive and kaleidoscopic of the artist’s Infinity Mirror Rooms. Representing the culmination of her artistic achievements, it exemplifies the breadth of her visual vocabulary. From the signature polka dots and soft sculptures to brilliant colors, the spoken word, and, most importantly, endless reflections and the illusion of space. As visitors walk through the installation, a sound recording of Kusama reciting a love poem in Japanese plays continuously. Written by the artist, the poem’s title translates to Residing in a Castle of Shed Tears. Exploring enduring themes including life and death. The poem poignantly expresses Kusama’s hope to spread a universal message of love through her art.

Moon Over the Gables | March 9 – 25th, 2023

This March, downtown Coral Gables will be transformed into a celestial art experience with “Moon Over The Gables,” an event that brings the internationally renowned “Museum of the Moon” to Ponce Circle Park starting Thursday, March 9.  The rapturous presence of our closest celestial neighbor will loom over artistic, scientific, and cultural events. 

The event is presented by the Coral Gables Community Foundation and the City of Coral Gables – the same team that brought you the unforgettable Umbrella Sky experience on Giralda Plaza. The U.K. artist Luke Jerram’s spectacular traveling art installation, “Museum of The Moon” is the centerpiece of attention — a world-class exhibit that has been featured all over the globe.
